The contest is open for US high school students from grades 10 to 12.Where can interested participants submit their entries?
Participants may submit their entries at StellantisDriveForDesign.com until May 13.Ten years ago, Trostle reformed a contest he won as a high school student. He has worked with various students and their parents over the years, demonstrating the advantages of attending art school and eventually teaching them on prospective career routes in automotive design. Some of the former contestants were offered internships and jobs at the Stellantis design studios.
“Winning is not the main goal of this contest, it’s about discovering career opportunities, helping young artists hone their craft, and educating parents of young artists about a rewarding profession where they can use their artistic talent. Regardless of where these students ultimately land after graduation, it’s been rewarding to our team to be able to make a positive impact on someone’s life and career,” Trostle stated.
US high school students in grades 10 to 12 can join this year's contest, which concentrates on sketching a future Chrysler vehicle. There is a sense of urgency, just as there is in the professional sector – entries must be submitted on or before May 13.
Three winning sketches will be chosen, and the artists will get to experience a virtual day of design with top designers from Stellantis, Wacom, and Apple, as well as a scholarship to attend a four-week summer program at the College for Creative Studies (CCS) in Michigan, USA.
To kick off this year's competition, Trostle and Stellantis Design Chief Ralph Gilles will join in an "Ask Me Anything" Facebook Live event on Friday, March 25, at 5 a.m. Viewers can submit questions for the live event through the official social media pages of Stellantis and Drive for Design using the hashtag #DriveforDesign.
