It is equipped with a 2,387 cubic centimeter boxer engine that made some 374 horsepower with 590 Newton-meters of torque. The powerplant is mated to a six-speed sequential gearbox with paddle shifters.

The cockpit of the Subaru WRX NBR Challenge 2024 was shared by Carlo van Dam, Tim Schrick, Kota Sasaki, and Rintaro Kubo.
“The victory on circuits like Nürburgring, which is so-called one of the world's most challenging tracks, once again demonstrated the reliability, durability, and high performance of Subaru vehicles, including horizontally opposed engine and symmetrical AWD (all-wheel drive),” Subaru wrote in a press release.
“Through its motorsport activities, Subaru and STI will continue to pursue engineering excellence to assure ‘Enjoyment and Peace of Mind’ to customers worldwide,” the company added.
