Surrounded with Confusion, BMW M2 - Spied

MANILA : Spy shots, teaser videos, pre- launch, and official launch is a normal routine that any car follows to make its way into the market. But there are some cars which create a lot of confusion, before their arrival, and one such car creating a whole-lot of fuss is the BMW M2. Though, its spy images have long been viral over the Internet, it is its specifications that form the core of the problem. Many speculations have been made, ranging from its launch to its engine specifications, but the truth will be reveled with its debut.

Initially, said to be unveiled next year at Detroit, which obviously was a false claim, it is now been confirmed to be showcased as a concept in August with its production version to be introduced at the September Frankfurt Motor Show. Now with the latest spy shots taken in Bavaria, some of its features can be clearly identified. At the front, the new M2 seems to get new vented bumper, also integrating complex aerodynamics features that are included in every M-series. The camouflage side part was not able to hide the enlarged brakes, wider wheel arches holding a larger set of wheels, with a four tail exhaust pipe featured on the rear end. With such inclusions back and forth it is definitely an aggressive looking coup.

M2 engine specs have also seen some tough times as there were varied speculation about the engine output. Currently, its N55 six-cylinder 3.0L engine is expected to pump out 370 PS of power and 465 Nm of maximum torque. With such engine specification the M2 is expected to accelerate to 100 kmph from a standstill in 4.5 seconds.

As for the price tag, BMW'S new coup is said to be available for €54,000 in Germany, which though sounds good to the ears but is hard to believe, as the M4 is priced at €74,000, seeing the feature difference between the two, the cut sounds too much.

Coming September will put a full-stop to all the flying speculations around this car and will present a clearer picture.
