MANILA: Suzuki has sold a total of 1.144 million cars globally in the first four months of 2024.

According to the Japanese automotive brand, the said numbers reflected a 111.5-percent growth compared to the same time period last year.

Out of the aforementioned figure, a total of 260,962 units (up by 113.6 percent) were sold domestically while 883,144 vehicles (up by 110.9 percent) were sold abroad.

In April alone, Suzuki sold some 259,007 automobiles worldwide. It translated to a 109.9 percent increase versus its sales for the same month in 2023.

Suzuki did not disclose which models were among its top sellers. However, in the Philippines, the marque is offering notable nameplates like the rough and rugged Jimny 3-door, 5-door, and S-Presso; the compact Dzire, Celerio, and Swift city cars; as well as the hybrid Ertiga and XL7 multi-purpose vehicles.
