“Suzuki’s extensive presence at the Japan Mobility Show 2023 clearly highlights the brand’s passion to create an exciting future for everyone worldwide including the Philippines. This will be evident in the new models that the brand will be introducing to the country in the years to come,” Suzuki wrote in a press release.
In response to the growing carbon-neutral mobility solutions offered by almost all vehicle brands, Suzuki presented what it called the “two wheels of the future.”
These include models like the Suzuki Burgman e-Scooter and the hydrogen-powered Burgman. The former is based on the 125 cubic centimeter (cc) engine-equipped Burgman Street EX (sold here in the Philippines), while the latter is modeled after the bigger 400cc Burgman.
Suzuki also revealed the e-PO and the e-Choinori. Both electric bikes are powered by a 50cc engine co-developed with Panasonic Cycle Technology.
Also in attendance were Suzuki concept cars namely the futuristic eVX and eWX as well as the Spacia Concept and Spacia Custom Concept.
The Suzuki Swift Concept was also presented and promised to strike a balance between driving performance and fuel efficiency thanks to its highly efficient engine. It also comes with a slew of advanced safety features such as Dual Sensor Brake Support II collision mitigation braking, Adaptive High Beam System, and Driver Monitoring System.
And since Suzuki’s booth was for “everyone” the Shizuoka-based brand also showcased a model designed for the elderly. Dubbed the Senior Car, the said mobility solution is a motorized wheelchair, perfect for seniors who want to move around.
Various Suzuki vehicles sold in the Philippines also made their way to the Japanese mobility expo. These are the Jimny, Hayabusa, V-Strom 250SX, and GSX-8S.
