Owing to all this, it has doubtlessly made the consumers become much more aware than before. Prior to the launch of this Indigo, Tata had created a buzz with its upcoming hatchback Zica recently. With the confined information revealed, the news was just based on teaser pictures. Furthermore, it is quite interesting to note that unlike the fleet of similar hatchbacks, Tata Zica has an edge. This compact yet economical car possesses worthy safety measures: Anti-Locking Braking System (ABS), Electronic brakeforce distribution (EBD), Rear Parking Sensors and Dual Airbags. The Indigo possesses the ABS, SRS Bags and with an additional feature of side impact beams. The Indigo Car is amidst the fleet of competitors, viz. Suzuki Swift Dzire and Honda Brio Amaze. In perspective of the technology implemented by the rivals, there is a bit distinction in each of them. The Suzuki has taken a step forward through its patented TECT design that promotes highly safe driving experience. Also, Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS) that has been facilitated with brake assist control and engine drag that prevents skidding and slipping. The Dual airbags and side impact beams have also been installed. On the other hand, the Honda Brio Amaze has a G-CON technology that has been enveloped on the car's body. This technology minimizes the collision risk and prevents skidding probabilities. It consists of ELR seat belts enhancing the car's safety along with dual SRS airbags. Additionally, the car's security mechanism is comprised of electronic protection system.
The car safety measures that are fabricated in this Tata Motors Indigo list as: Dual Airbags, ABS and side impact beams. Despite of having such features being introduced, Indigo is still believed to be majorly used for commercial purposes. It can be efficiently used for pool in services by associating with taxi/service providing companies. The technical features include in-house 475 TCIC Diesel engine. In totality this car has a very generous space to accommodate its passengers, which is categorized under the B-Segment Sedan. It has a turbo-charged diesel engine with a capacity of 1.4-Litre that churns 70 HP with a torque of 136 Nm at an rpm of 2,500.
It can be concluded that including such features is a good step, however it cannot be highly advantageous in the longer run. This statement can be supported by the fact that competitive fleet is providing a superior, robust, and high performance cars. In no time this model may be left behind, if it doesn't match the pace in terms of other important technological features. Changing the perception of the consumers for this car (in terms of utility) will take a long time, until something revolutionary will be introduced.
