Tesla Adds Autopilot & Park Assist Feature in Version 7.0
MANILA: Tesla has finally updated the firmware version 7.0 with autopilot and park assist feature. Both functions will be available in Vehicles by October 15, 2015. Company CEO Elon Musk revealed the news via twitter mentioning that the software has been updated with the new Autopilot function and enabled into their entire lineup.

Apart from offering a hassle-free driving experience, the update will also feature an Autopilot parking assistance, commonly called as park assist. However, Tesla didn't revealed other details about the upcoming Version 7 update but it would likely come up with fresh looking instrument panel and infotainment system.
The software’s autopilot features will help steer the car on highways without offering complete driverless experience. Since the autopilot feature is available on all Tesla cars, it would cost an additional $2,500 in order to enable the complete function. Tesla is consistently working on adding more features, such as “valet park mode” which can make the car to arrive at a destination without a driver.
Adding more, Musk also said that the user interface will improve with the launch of Version 7.1.
