Tesla Model 3 to Make Official Debut on March 31
MANILA: Just after rolling out the most anticipated car at the ongoing 2016 Geneva Motor Show, Tesla Motors has bagged some more surprises for the electric car fanatics. After the world debut of the Tesla Model X, an all-electric crossover SUV; the American automaker is on the verge of unveiling an all-new Tesla Model 3. The electric car-maker is consecutively working to expand its product line-up, and is successfully launching revolutionary cars, one after another. The firm has designed this all-electric entry-level sedan aiming at the BMW 3 Series Sedan, which has given the Model 3 an eye-pleasing appeal.
In order to reveal the third member of the growing line-up of Tesla Motors, the firm will be organizing a private event which is going to be held on March 31, 2016. The company has already commenced sending invitations for the official unveiling of this hotly-anticipated entry-level sedan. While designing this entry-level sedan, the prime focus of the manufacturer was to offer an affordable all-electric sedan. Carrying an initial price tag of USD 35,000, the all-electric affordable sedan will be launched in Southern California, on March 31, 2016.
The upcoming sedan is comparatively offered at a very affordable price, as the base model of Model S, the top-class all-electric sedan, is priced at USD 80,000 and the newly launched Model X is available at USD 85,000. After the official unveiling, the firm will commence bookings for the Model 3 with a token amount of USD 1000. The buyers of this specific model need to wait until 2017, as the firm will start deliveries only by next year. The firm is in no mood to give it a hit-and-try, alike Model X; as this time, Tesla wouldn’t really want to extend the waiting period for its valuable customers. As a result, the manufacturer is trying to develop enough inventory, so that it can efficiently cater to the huge demand.
While talking about the powertrain and performance of the upcoming Tesla Model 3, the firm has remained tight-lipped. But, from the showcased snippets, we can fetch out some minor details of the upcoming all-electric car. The American boffins have taken their design inspiration from the Model S, so it is expected that it would make its global appearance carrying an additional and handful of power. Moreover, the Model 3 will be able to cover a distance of up to 200 miles, on a single charge.
Being an entry-level sedan, it would definitely measure smaller in dimensions all around. As seen in the previous models, the American electric automaker is also expected to install several enhanced features such as Auto-Pilot mode, Parking Assist feature and much more.
Now, let’s wait till 31 March to witness what actually Tesla Motors will be bringing up with this all-electric and affordable entry-level sedan. We will definitely look forward for the official announcement that confirms the arrival of the upcoming car in the Philippines market. Till then, stay tuned for the official unveiling of the Tesla Model 3.
