Tetsuya Fujita appointed Isuzu PH president

MANILA: Isuzu Philippines Corporation (IPC) has appointed Tetsuya Fujita as its new president starting 2023.

Fujita, who will join IPC in January, is a Senior Executive of Isuzu Motors Limited Japan (IML) with over 30 years of expertise supervising different overseas markets like the United States and Latin America.

With his vast experience in both light commercial and truck markets, he is expected to sustain Isuzu’s status as the leading truck brand in the Philippines, which is set to record its 23 consecutive years of keeping this position by the end of the year.

Meanwhile, outgoing president Noboru Murakami, who joined IPC in May, will be tasked with managing the Isuzu operation at the Isuzu North America Corporation. During his term, Murakami was able to maintain IPC’s first-place position in the truck market which is now at 48%, and has successfully guided the company through its ‘Road To Progress’ coming from the COVID-19 pandemic. He also guaranteed more sustainable plant operations for IPC by transforming 100% to renewable energy. Murakami also continued to develop and modernize its dealer network to accommodate a wider market nationwide.
