MANILA: Ford Philippines has officially launched the all-new Explorer, which features a more aggressive look and premium driving features that raise the bar on comfort, convenience, and safety.

The all-new Explorer builds on its success as one of Ford’s most rugged and capable midsize SUVs through several design and feature enhancements, making it a more formidable offering for customers seeking refinement in their SUV.”
Ford Philippines has rolled out the all-new Explorer Limited 4WD variant.
The exterior look of the Explorer has been revamped to give it a more commanding yet stylish presence on the road, with 20-in polished aluminum wheels leading the way.
Other exterior features include the bright silver mesh grille with chrome bars, silver front and rear skid plate elements, body-color door handles with chrome inserts, satin roof-rack side rails, and chrome dual-exhaust tips. The all-new Explorer is also equipped with LED headlamps, fog lamps, and taillamps.
The interior has a sleek and luxurious vibe, with ebony trims and light slate uppers, as well as an illuminated entry system and multi-color ambient lighting. It also comes with a twin panel moonroof.
The cabin comes with leather seats with unique accent stitching, which are developed with driver and passenger comfort in mind. The 10-way power driver seat and eight-way power front passenger seat are heated and ventilated with. Second-row seats are also heated and feature a 35/30/35 bench configuration with E-Z Entry for easy access to the third row. Meanwhile, the third-row seats have 50/50 PowerFold function.
The all-new Explorer is powered by a 2.3-liter EcoBoost engine with Auto Start-Stop Technology. The engine churns out 304ps and 420Nm of torque, and is mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission.
The Explorer also has an Intelligent 4WD with Terrain Management System and seven selectable drive modes — Deep Sand, Eco, Normal, Sport, Tow Haul, Trail, and Slippery — that allows the driver to optimize performance and handling in any situation.
The all-new Explorer comes with a long list of features that improve driver and passenger comfort, convenience, and safety.
It is equipped with Sync3, which allows the driver stay connected while on the road, as well as an eight-inch capacitive touchscreen with swipe capability, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, a 12-speaker Bang & Ofulsen sound system, smart-charging multimedia USB ports, wireless charging pad for mobile devices, a 6.5-inch color LCD cluster screen, and a 230V power outlet.
Other comfort and convenience features include remote start system, intelligent access with push-button start, tri-zone electronic automatic temperature control with auxiliary rear controls, leather steering wheel with power tilt and telescoping functions, second-row sunblinds, and hands-free foot-activated liftgate.
The all-new Explorer also comes with Ford Co-Pilot360, a suite of safety technologies which includes a 360-degree camera; pre-collision assist with automatic energy braking (AEB), pedestrian detection, forward collision warning, and dynamic brake support; auto high-beam headlamps; blind spot information system (BLIS) with cross-traffic alert; intelligent adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go and lane centering; evasive steering assist; and lane-keeping system. It is also equipped with post-collision braking, reverse brake control, hill descent control, and hill start assist.
