The new Genesis G70 wants to be a 4-door Bond car
MANILA: Can you imagine James Bond riding off into the sunset in a Genesis G70? Neither can I but by the looks of the new and updated Genesis G70, it might not be such a far-fetched idea after all.
Genesis, the luxury brand of Hyundai, just unveiled the new G70 just a month before it starts sales in Korea and it comes with a tweaked exterior and new tech in the cabin.
Its signature crest grill is now set even lower than the Quad Lamps which spread outward to highlight the new Genesis G70’s position, as the most athletic sports sedan by Genesis. The side air extractors optimized for efficiency, show a form-follows-function mentality while the surface around the front wheels expresses the powerful muscles of a sports sedan. Around back, the quad-lamp taillights are inspired by the soaring wings of the Genesis logo, while a full width G-Matrix mesh and body colored diffusers surround the oval exhaust tips and add finishing touches to the exterior design.
Inside is a driver-centered architecture resembling a fighter jet cockpit and adds the latest connectivity specifications. It has a new 10.25-inch infotainment system that features an exclusive Genesis UI design supporting the latest over-the-air (OTA) WiFi update feature) wireless updates, Valet mode and Apple CarPlay. In addition, the wireless charging system has been changed to a horizontal layout, increasing convenience for those with ever-changing smartphone sizes.
"The new Genesis G70 will engage customers with its dynamic design and the latest innovations in safety and luxury. We are thrilled to reveal more detailed specifications next month," said a Genesis official.
