Toyota Hilux, Mitsubishi Triton, Isuzu D-Max and Chevrolet Colorado Clears Crash Test

MANILA: The well-known automobile safety rating program, ASEAN NCAP has recently conducted crash test of the Toyota, Mitsubishi, Isuzu and Chevrolet's double cabin pickup vehicles, Toyota Hilux, Mitsubishi Triton, Isuzu D-Max and Chevrolet Colorado which are popular on the Philippines roads as well. Adult occupant Protection (AOP), Child Occupant Protection (COP), and Airbag Safety feature were some factors on which these cars were evaluated during the crash test.

Throwing light on results, on the factor AOP, Toyota Hilux, Mitsubishi Triton and, Chevrolet Colorado have crowned a  5 star rating with 14.53/16, 15.22/16  and 14.19/16 scores respectively. The Isuzu D-Max has earned 4-star rating with lowest 11.87/16 points. The lowest variant of new Toyota Hilux is placate with 13.55/16 points and 4-star rating.

Considering other factors, COP, the Chevrolet Colorado, Isuzu D-Max and Toyota Hilux earned a 4 star rating while the standard variant of Mitsubishi Triton is on the lowest score of 48 percent with 2 star rating.
