Toyota Motor PH 'refreshes' Corolla Altis GR-S HEV

MANILA: Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) fired the opening salvo for the year as it silently introduced the latest iteration of the Corolla Altis GR-S HEV (hybrid electric vehicle).

The aforementioned sedan carries slight updates akin to those seen in the current offering in Thailand — mostly in the looks department.

Vehicle specifications

The vehicle measures 4,635 millimeters (mm) long; 1,780 mm wide; and 1,455 mm tall — making it slightly larger compared to the nameplate’s mid-grade and entry-level options.

It now carries a new front bumper, dropping the faux vents and carrying a squarish outline for its grille. Meanwhile, a lip spoiler is placed on the trunk and while the taillights have clear lenses.

In addition, the car sits on 17-inch trim-specific gloss black alloy wheels wrapped in 225/45 tires.

The 2025 Toyota Corolla Altis GR-S HEV is outfitted with leather portions with red stitching, a floating infotainment system, and a full digital cluster gauge.

Propelling the spruced-up offering is still the in-line four, 16-valve double overhead cam, chain drive with dual VVT-I (variable valve timing with intelligence), 1.8-liter hybrid engine. The aforementioned powertrain — which is mated to a continuous variable transmission — has a peak output of nearly 97 horses and 142 Newton-meters of torque.

TMP has yet to share other performance-related details pertaining to the car.

Further, its decelerations and halts are guaranteed by disc brakes equipped in the front (ventilated) and rear (solid).

Among its notable amenities are the smart keyless entry, push start ignition, and dynamic radar cruise control.

Priced at P1.755 million, the range-topping Toyota Corolla Altis can only be had in Platinum White Pearl Mica.
