Toyota PH guarantees ‘no affected units’ in latest engine certification issue

MANILA: Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) guaranteed that "no units in the country got affected in the recent certification irregularity issue pertaining to the engines fitted in the brand’s key models.

Earlier, the mother company announced that Toyota Industries Corporation (TICO) shall suspend the shipment of three engines namely the 1GD (equipped in the Land Cruiser Prado, Hiace, Hilux, and Fortuner) 2GD (fitted in the Hilux and Innova), and the F33A (found in the Land Cruiser 300 and Lexus LX500d), following the results of the investigation pertaining to horsepower output testing.
