Updated Mitsubishi ASX Launched In The Philippines
MANILA: The Japanese automaker, Mitsubishi has taken the next step to improve its stake in the crossover segment by introducing the updated ASX. The automaker confirmed that it will bring shield faced ASX at PIMS 2016 and on the first day of the event, the updated crossover has been launched. Along with new dynamic shield face, and 18 inch alloy wheels, the top variant of 2016 ASX also features new super-wide range HID headlights, LED daytime running lights (DRLs) and panoramic glass roof. The other standard features include wheel lip moldings and new side mirrors with integrated LED turn signals.
In the cabin, the changes include new seat material, multifunction steering wheel and refreshed trim pieces on the dashboard. Under the hood the 2016 ASX is powered by a 2.0-litre 4B11 MIVEC inline-four engine that produced 150 PS maximum power at 6000 rpm and peak torque of 197 Nm at 4200 rpm. Further, it is coupled with Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) that comes with 6-speed sequential shifting and paddle shifters.
The updated Mitsubishi ASX is available in two variants, which include ASX 2.0 GLS 4X2 and ASX 2.0L GSR 4X2. The GLS 4x2 price is PhP 1,163,000 whereas, GSR 4X2 price is PhP 1,263,000. In its respective segment, ASX will face competition from Mazda CX-3, and recently launched Jeep Renegade.
