Updated Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV Debuts in TMS 2015
MANILA: Known as the bestselling Plug-in Hybrid (PHEV) in UK, the updated version of Outlander PHEV has been revealed at this year's Tokyo Motor Show by its makers, Mitsubishi. The brand says that they have made improvements in the overall package so that the experience of owning and driving the Outlander PHEV enhances.
The Outlander PHEV features Mitsubishi's “Dynamic Shield” design where the middle of the fascia is finished in black while the trim that surrounds the middle section is finished in chrome. The highlights of the PHEV Outlander is the specifically-designed bumper extensions for better aerodynamics and the LED headlights in place of xenon lights. The two tone 18-inch alloy wheels on four corners give this Mitsubishi a complete look and safe ride.
The updates continue on the interior front also where a new design and premium material for the seat upholstery is been fitted. A color option is also available along with the standard black trim and a new brown leather trim is also a standard now. The other striking feature is the new four-spoke steering wheel.
The engine is the same, 2.0-litre mill but the transmission option is new in this 2016 Mitsubishi, a CVT option. The engineers have also worked to reduce the friction loss and a better fuel economy of 20.2 kmpl is also expected with pure electric range moving up to 60.2 kilometers.
Now, that's like a good offering but we as Filipinos can only wait for it to come soon to Philippines as this SUV will definitely sail well here.
