Updated Suzuki Alto 800 now available in the Philippines

MANILA: One of the most popular and fastest selling cars of Suzuki, the Alto 800 has been recently updated with mild tweaks in its exterior styling and is now available for sale in the Philippines. The key changes at the front include replacement of the hexagonal front grille with a trapezoidal lower grille and updated bulb configuration. The Suzuki emblem has been made more prominent by making the upper grille slimmer which has further resulted in an additional appeal to the hatchback. The inclusion of fog lamps at the front now results in better road visibility  for the driver.

At sides, you can find side rubber cladding, that not only add protection to the body but, also give a sporty touch. The rear has been kept untouched and follows similar designing as that of the previous model. In the cabin, there are no changes and the standard features which were previously offered are kept intact.

Under the hood, it will still feature the old 0.8-litre 3-cylinder gasoline engine, delivering 47 hp maximum power and 68 Nm peak torque. The engine is further mated to a 5-speed manual transmission and power is transmitted to the front wheels. The starting price of Suzuki Alto 800 is Php 398,000 and it goes up to Php 438,000. After the refreshed Alto 800, the next big launch will be the updated Suzuki Swift which has been already spied testing several times. It is expected that it will be launched sometime in 2017.
