VinFast sells more than 90-K units in 2024

MANILA: VinFast has sold more than 90,000 electric vehicles (EV) globally in 2024. 

According to the Vietnamese electric car brand, its total sales for the year totaled 97,399. In the fourth quarter alone, VinFast sold 53,139 units around the world. 

Markets where it delivered its products include the Philippines, which the marque penetrated in the second quarter of the previous year. 

“VinFast's 2024 results exceeded expectations, demonstrating resilience in the face of market fluctuations and macroeconomic volatility. The record-breaking achievement underscores our strength and confirms the unstoppable momentum of electric vehicle adoption. As we look toward 2025, VinFast remains committed to leading the green transportation revolution with our innovative, diverse all-electric lineup. While market challenges remain, we are confident that electrification is the path to a sustainable future, and VinFast is dedicated to being at the forefront of this transformation,” VinFast Chairwoman Thuy Le said. 

Per the automaker, the aforementioned numbers reflect a 342 percent improvement, year-on-year. Likewise, VinFast’s fourth quarter sales translated to a 143 percent growth. 

On that note, the company has surpassed its 2024 global targets, which was projected at 80,000 units. 

For VinFast, the said achievement solidifies its leading position in the Vietnamese car market and lays a cornerstone for its expansion. 

VinFast 2025 targets 

For 2025, VinFast looks to double the number of its global deliveries. 

As a testament to its continued momentum, the brand reported that its global sales last month reached over 10,000. 

Below are its two best-selling units and the respective number of vehicles sold: 

VinFast VF 3	4,000 units
VinFast VF 5	3,300 units
