Volkswagen PH teases launch of new model or updated T-Cross

MANILA: Volkswagen Philippines posted the phrase "A new color for the new you" alongside a preview picture of its upcoming release.

The automaker is probably teasing a new T-Cross color scheme. The picture appears to be of a blue 2023 Volkswagen T-Cross, a color that is not yet offered by Volkswagen in this nation. According to other sources, it might be the Volkswagen Tharu, a new model.

Currently the best-selling model for Volkswagen Philippines, a new color might entice a number of customers who wanted a blue VW. Although there is currently just one type of the 2023 Volkswagen T-Cross available, it is available in a wide range of hues, including Polar White, Chinchilla Gray, Tribu Syringa Violet, and Romance Red. There is now no blue option available, but once VW Philippines is complete, there will be a total of six color choices.

A new wheel design for the subcompact crossover may be anticipated, among other things, for this new T-Cross release. For the 2023 model year, the Chinese market will receive blacked-out side mirror covers in addition to the blacked-out wheels. The T-Cross sold about 300,000 copies globally in 2020 despite the COVID-19 epidemic, and as of March 2021, it had been formally introduced in 55 nations. The six-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel drive system allow the vehicle to automatically adapt to the driving style and road condition for a more convenient and smoother drive. The T-Cross has the ability to accelerate from zero to 100kph in 13.3 seconds, up to a top speed of 185kph.

Various gadgets keep the vehicle and its occupants safe. The T-Cross has front and front side airbags, as well as a head curtain, to lessen the danger of injury in the case of an accident. The electronic stabilization program with brake assistant, the anti-lock brake system, the hill hold control, the anti-slip regulation, the rear parking distance control, the rear camera, the autonomous emergency braking, the emergency data recorder, and the tire pressure monitor are additional safety features.
