What all can stop Foton from becoming the next market leader?

It's high time guys, and by now you all must be aware of the 2015 Foton's Big Show. It all started in 2010 and since then, both the show and the Foton as a company, has evolved only for good. Over the years, the show has attracted a huge number of automobile enthusiasts and critics that have praised this struggling brand efforts and also pointed towards its loopholes.
The Year 2015...
This time it's bigger than ever, the three-day event will offer an inside view into Foton's elongated vehicle line-up. Major attraction being the introduction of Foton Toplander, the SUV. This Chinese brand already has a sport utility vehicle currently running in its native country that goes by the name Suvana and now it is all set to bring what looks like former's replica in the Philippines market. But one question that has been bothering many heads including Foton's too is whether brand's new mean machine will be able to accommodate in the already packed Philippines market. We thought about it and decided to shortlist few points that could stop Foton from achieving its goal.
Major Obstacle in its way -
Brand Value – It is one of most important things that add big figures to company's sales book. Brand value not only means how big a company is in its working, but it also represents the level of trust people share with the brand. Big automakers like Toyota, Mitsubishi and Honda to name few have created a standing unmatched by many and this fact can easily be tallied from their huge market shares. Foton as a brand now has the biggest challenge to create an image that if not the same but at least falls on the same lines as its competitors. If done rightly, its fruit will soon be offered to the brand.
Service Network – Another obstacle standing in its way is a strong after-sale network. Customers before buying a car see if its provider has good service spread or not. With Toplander, Foton will be stepping up in passenger vehicle segment which differs from the commercial line-up especially in service nature. So, we would recommend the brand to strengthen up its caretaking chain.
Promo Deal – Promo schemes form an important part of the overall package. We all love offers, don't we! And the brand is giving out the most to become the hot favourite. The existing one already offer a lot and Foton should detect the said pattern and work on the same lines in order to attract customers.
Resale Value – Car being one of the most expensive possessions, one is concerned about its resale value. Big brands like Toyota and Mitsubishi lead the way by providing the highest resale value for its cars. Foton being a newbie does not have an edge here and would have to improve its value over the time.
The dilemma over image – Being a newcomer in the passenger segment, Foton's biggest task would be to create a good image, free from doubts. Safety, material quality, technology or maintenance, all the fronts have to be taken care of, and the brand has to display its best is the said areas. Once this dilemma clears off, people will start trusting the brand and will not hesitate in making a purchase.
