Will Nissan Titan Warrior be the next to accompany NP300 Navara?
MANILA: The recently concluded North American International Auto Show brought many surprises for the auto enthusiast. One such concept that added to the adrenal rush was Nissan Titan Warrior concept, it put the entire auto show on fire with its strong impressions. Well, now it's not what Nissan showed, but what it said and the way it said that is making headlines.
Nissan officials were heard saying, “This is more than a design exercise. We’re making a big commitment to the pickup segment with the new Titan, and we’re also looking at where else we might take it now.” Rightly hinting towards a production version of the same, meaning that after Titan XD that recently got down for sale, the Warrior will the next to follow.
As for the Philippines market, Nissan has just one off-road vehicle on offer, the 2016 International Pick-up winner, NP300 Navara. Our market is still missing on the performance off-road pick-up from Nissan and who knows that after Nissan Juke that recently went on sale, Titan Warrior will be next to grace our land. Once out, the car will compete against the likes of Ford F-150, Ram Power Wagon, and Toyota Tundra TRD Pro.
This Nissan pickup concept was created by Nissan Design America in La Jolla, California. Designers there were inspired to take the production design of Titan XD to the next level, making it more aggressive, muscle prone and with greater athletic styling. In short, this Nissan pickup concept is so well designed that buyers will not need to take their vehicle to after-market vendors for further modification. Under such conditions, the modification “business could be reclaimed by Nissan and its dealers.”
Those of you missed seeing the new Nissan Pick-up at the North American International Auto Show, we can suggest you imagine a bulky yet full of style pick-up with a matte-gunmetal finish and orange accents all-over. The front profile is just amazing giving it the most rugged feel with bold three-plate grille, smart headlight pattern and big skid at the bottom. On to the side, are present huge wheel arches that house 37-inch off-road tires, and flared fenders. The rear portion gets LED taillights, carbon fibre rear cap spoiler, quad-tipped exhaust pipe and more, all adding to its large pool of masculinity.
Talking about its under the hood tuning, it houses the same 5.0L V8 diesel engine that powers the Titan XD. The car is mated to six-speed automatic transmission and is paired with superb suspensions that won't even let you feel a thing.
Though, the chances are a bit scares, but let’s hope that someday we get our hands on Titan Warrior, the new Nissan pickup concept.
