World debut of 2016 Honda Civic

MANILA: It's the tenth-generation Honda Civic which has made a world debut in Los Angeles, California with all-new dynamic styling, turbo power and same fuel-efficient drive.

Honda's current design language is loud here. While the body and chassis are specifically tailored to accommodate new sporty engines.The size is larger but still it is 30 kg lighter as 12 % of the body is constructed from ultra high-strength steel. The 'Solid Wing Face' paired with contoured front fenders, new bumper, sculpted hood, and LED headlights with daytime running lights present a powerful front of this car. The side features revised silhouette with clean character lines and new alloy wheels. The rear is again modified with restyled taillights, new bumper, and revamped trunk design. Talking about the dimensions, Honda revealed that 2016 Civic is nearly 51 mm wider and 25 mm lower than the current model. The wheelbase is extended by 30 mm.

The interiors are redesigned with better space and improved rear legroom. The driver visibility is improved and dash of plushness can be seen with fabric seats, a one-piece soft-touch instrument panel, new full-color TFT instrument panel and piano black finish and silver bezels on the center console. The high-grade variants will receive 4-way power adjustable front passenger's seat, 8-way power adjustable driver's seat, and heated side mirrors.

The engine options available in 2016 Civic are 2.0-litre VTEC inline-four and 1.5-litre VTEC inline-four in pair with continuous variable transmission option to deliver high performance and improved fuel economy. The exact output figures are not known yet although other technical features of the new Honda Civic include Apple CarPlay/ Android Auto compatibility, redesigned front struts, and new multi-link rear suspension.
