Kawasaki Rouser 200NS - Hits and misses every buyer should know

Kawasaki Rouser 200NS - Hits and misses every buyer should know

Kawasaki is re-launching the NS200 for the Philippines market, and there are certain things you need to know before buying the beauty. The Rouser NS200 is definitely the best product from the Japanese manufacturer. The buy impresses everyone with its road presence. Among the list of many great things about the bike, we have made a list of the five good things that make the motorcycle different from its rivals. Also, we have listed five shortcomings of the NS200.
But before we move on, let us take a look at the five things you should know about the upcoming Kawasaki Rouser 200 NS:
The new NS200 is available in various color options: Graphite Black, Mirage White, and Wild Red. It also has bold matte finish graphics.
The BS-IV compliant engine is standard for the entire Kawasaki line-up.

The exhaust design that we loved in the previous version has been further enhanced and is now more toned down.
The upgraded version comes integrated with a belly pan that enhances the air flow and gives it a street-racer look.
This time Kawasaki has switched to the safety bandwagon and integrated the NS200 with AHO (all-time headlamp on), as it is compulsory for all bikes above 125cc. The motorcycle has gained some seven kilograms and now weighs 152kg.

Five things that riders love about Rouser 200NS:

1.Steady handling, thanks to the perimeter frame

The Kawasaki Rouser 200NS is blessed with the perimeter frame, and it is a USP when compared to other street bikes in the Philippines. No other motorcycle comes with such a frame, and as a result, the Rouser 200NS runs smoothly on the rough roads. The bike feels like a solid metal piece carved together as one.

2.Excellent braking

The front and the rear disc brakes of the Rouser 200NS are one of a kind and offer an immediate response when clicked. The breaks are coupled to the sturdy perimeter frame and provide a fantastic speed breakdown when needed.

3. DTS-I four-valve engine

The DTS-I, triple spark, four-valve engine of the Rouser 200NS is heaven in disguise. This mill shares its origin with the KTM Duke 200. The bore and stroke of both the engines are similar. The motor can cross the red line of the tachometer and still feel smooth. This was missing in the previous models of the Rouser.

4.Riding Position

Another best thing about the Rouser 200NS is its seating placement. There is no sign of forward bend, and instead, the riding position of the bike is similar to the Motocross style. Straight seating and comfortable handles give “flow with the bike” feeling.

5.Perfect padding of the seats

The seat of the 200NS is padded to provide best-in-class comfort. The foam is neither very soft nor too tight. It is ideal for long as well as short rides.

Few things that could have been better in the NS 200:

1. Tyres

The Rouser 200NS comes with tyres from EuroGrip. The tyres perform normal when it comes to providing a firm grip while cornering and during rough road conditions. However, one can also opt for better options available in the market.

2. Seat height

If you read the specs of the Rouser 200NS, the seat height is mentioned to be 800 mm that is normal if we go by the Philippine standards. But the wider front seat and sides disturbs the placing of the legs, especially for the Philippine riders who are a bit petite.

3. Indicator switch design

The design of the turn indicators is not ergonomic, and the rider has to put additional efforts to operate it. Sometimes when you are wearing gloves, it gets challenging to work the switch.

That's our opinion on the Kawasaki Rouser 200NS. However, we suggest you to always go far a test ride and observe as much as you can about the bike and then make a buying decision.
