That said, we take a look at the four variants of the Suzuki Smash, to help those in the market make a better buying decision.
Suzuki Smash Carburetor Drum/Spokes
The entry-level variant of the Suzuki Smash is notable for having a carburetor, drum brakes, and spoke wheels.
On the outside, it sports a minimalist look with just the right amount of contours and the proper quantity of aggressive lines. Its headlamps sit under its cowlings while the turn signals are located on the motorbike’s font fairings. Under the front fender is an oil-damped, coil spring-equipped, telescopic suspension with 17-inch spoke wheels wrapped in 70/90 17M/C38P tires.
The side profile of the base model Suzuki Smash gets a relatively simple design. The space allotted between the front fork and the seats can serve as a luggage area, making it somewhat suitable for many delivery riders. Underneath it is the motorcycle’s 113 cubic centimeter (cc) engine that pushes out as much as 8.5 horsepower (hp) with 9.0 Newton-meters (Nm) of torque.
Its rear end gets a flashy taillamp cluster with the signals lights tucked with the brake lamp. The rear fender houses dual shock absorbers with a swing arm-type suspension that is also oil-damped and with coil springs. Its gets 17-inch spoke wheels with 80/90 17M/C44P tires.
Per Suzuki Philippines, the instrument panel of the Smash Carburetor Drum/Spokes is inspired by a sports watch. It is priced at P62,400.
Suzuki Smash Carburetor Mags/Disc
This variant of the Suzuki Smash shares the same features as the aforementioned trim level, with the exception of its five-spoke magwheels and disc brakes.
On that note, motorcycle buyers can expect a more stylish look with the Suzuki Smash Carburetor Mags/Disc as well as improved stopping power thanks to its unique features.
It has a price tag of P67,400.
Suzuki Smash Fi Drum/Spokes
This variant of the Suzuki Smash uses an Fi system instead of a carburetor. This makes the Suzuki Smash Fi Drum/Spokes better than its carb-type counterpart when it comes to performance and fuel efficiency.
With that said, Suzuki Philippines proudly reveals that the motorbike’s fuel economy rating is 68 kilometers per liter, based on World Motorcycle Test Cycle standards.
At its fore is a brighter headlight with a wider range as well as larger turn signals that are mounted on the side of the font fairings. This model also has a fascia that has a honeycomb design, which is a unique applique used on motorbikes. A telescopic, coil-spring equipped, oil-damped front shock absorber lies under its front fairings. The 17-inch spoke wheel is shod in 70/90 17M/C38P rubber.
To its sides are sharper-looking fairings that make the motorcycle look more modern and aggressive. Slightly hidden under the angular skirts of the Suzuki Smash Fi Drum/Spokes is the two-wheeled steed’s 133cc powerplant that produces 9.2hp with 9.10Nm of pulling power.
At the back, this fuel-injected Suzuki Smash dons a rather simple cluster of lights. Under its rear fender is a swing arm-type suspension setup with coil springs that are oil-damped. It also gets 17-inch spoke wheels with 80/90 17M/C44P tires.
In contrast with the sports watch-inspired instrument panel offered by the carburetor-fitted Suzuki Smash, the Fi variant gets one with a highly visible sporty meter panel. Its sticker price is P66,400.
Suzuki Smash Fi Mags/Disc
Equipped with mag wheels and disc brakes, the Suzuki Smash Fi Mags/Disc model also looks better and offers improved braking performance. The top-of-the-line Smash variant not only makes riding look cool but also safer in general.
Nevertheless, almost all of the features offered by the spoke and drum brake-equipped Suzuki Smash Fi can be found in this model.
It sells for P71,400.
