  • How much us the Suzuki Avenis?

  • It is an automotive motorcycle touted as a sporty and muscular scooter and an ideal ride for those looking to do more and achieve more in life.

To help those in the market make a better buying decision should they consider bringing the Suzuki Avenis home, we take a look at its specifications.

    Exterior

Outside, the Suzuki Avenis wears fairings that boast plenty of straight lines and sharp angles, giving it that tough and bold look. The said fairings also provide the scooter with aerodynamic properties contributing to its performance and fuel efficiency, which we’ll get to in a few.

At the front, the Suzuki Avenis gets a small windshield as well as turn signals mounted on its cowling. The headlamp, on the other hand, is located on the front panel. On its far sides are reflectors. Under its front fenders is a telescopic suspension that complements a 12-inch sporty-looking wheel wrapped in 90/90 tubeless tires.

Its side profile boasts more angles, which make the scooter look lean despite its wide body. Highly-noticeable are the steel step bars, sleek grab bars, and blacked-out exhaust that echo the motorcycle’s overall design. The footrest board provides decent space for a small amount of groceries as well as other items should the Avenis be used for short-distance deliveries.

At the back, the Suzuki Avenis gets sporty split-type LED taillamps, two protruding turn signals, and a reflector just right above the number plate holder. It is also worth noting that the motorbike’s external hinge fuel cap is located on its rear fairing just between the dual grab bars. Below the rear fenders is a hydraulic-type suspension setup paired with a 10-inch wheel shod in 90/100 tubeless tires.

    Engine

Powering the Suzuki Avenis is a 124-cubic centimeter engine mated to a continuously variable transmission. On paper, it makes as much as 8.5 horses with approximately 10 Newton-meters of pulling power.

The fuel-injected and air-cooled engine clocks in at 54 kilometers per liter, based on World Motorcycle Test Cycle standards.

    Other features

For its brakes, the Suzuki Avenis uses a disc brake at the front and a drum brake at the rear. It also has a 21.8-liter large-capacity undersea compartment and a fully digital instrument panel that provides relevant riding information to the owner.

The Suzuki Avenis has a ground clearance of 160 millimeters (mm) and a wheelbase of 1,265mm.

    Pricing

The Suzuki Avenis is priced at P80,400.

    Final thoughts

The Suzuki Avenis is a solid choice for those looking for a dependable ride, especially for short trips within the city. It competes with other scooters in the market, like the similarly-marketed “tough” scooter — the Yamaha Mio Gear
