One of the allures of the Suzuki Burgman Street 125 EX is its executive-class look, not typically offered by small-displacement scooters sold here in the Philippines.

It wears the same set of fairings as the standard Suzuki Burgman Street but it is swathed in either Royal Bronze paint or a Matte Black finish. The said paintwork matches well with the motorcycle’s brown leather-style saddle and its brown-colored inner plastic panels.

The Suzuki Burgman Street 125 EX also wears a pair of bronze-painted wheels that measure 12 inches in diameter. The front wheel is wrapped in 90/90 tubeless tires while the one on the rear is shod in 100/80 rubber.

Finally, giving it a dash of additional class is its digital center panel that ensures the rider is informed of any relevant riding information.

On top of having classy looks, the Suzuki Burgman Street 125 EX also gets slight performance updates to fine-tune the rider’s overall experience.

To begin with, the Suzuki Burgman Street 125 EX gets larger wheels at the rear, as we briefly covered above. In comparison, the regular Burgman Street only gets 10-inch wheels at the rear. The result is a more stable ride, which gives the owner confidence to tackle bends, curves, and even uneven road surfaces.

We were able to attest to the improved ride quality of the Suzuki Burgman Street 125 EX when the folks from Suzuki Philippines Incorporated took members of the motoring media on a trip from Canlubang in Calamba City, Laguna to Anilao in Batangas.

There we conquered uphill and downhill roads with a mix of paved and unpaved thoroughfares.

In addition, the Suzuki Burgman Street 125 EX is slapped with a lightened disc brake at the front and grippy drum brakes at the rear. In unison, the braking system performs admirably allowing ample stopping power on various riding situations.

Finally, propelling all of the above together is Suzuki’s new SEP-Alpha engine. On paper, the said 125 cubic centimeter powerplant pushes up to 8.4 horses with 10 Newton-meters of torque.
