110-km in a litre by Yamaha Sight at Yamaha Sight Safe Run
MANILA: With the rising fuel prices, everyone wants their vehicle to offer low fuel consumption and run for longer distance in a lesser quantity of fuel. To promote fuel-efficient riding, Yamaha organised the second edition fo Yamaha Sight Safe Run. Francis Rivera, who is the Adventure Team Philippines President believes that not only the event will promote fuel-efficient riding but also encourage new riding routes and destinations as well. Contestants headed to Cainta, Rizal in the first leg and got to know about the wildlife and tourism of Rizal along with enjoying the scenic location.
All the contestants had the fuel tanks of their motorcycles filled. Moreover, to circumvent any sort of tinkering, the fuel tanks were signed and sealed. The Yamaha 3S Shop in Ortigas Extension was the starting point of the journey that went on for 24-km until Motortrade, Tanay. A left turn then took the contestants to Petron CDV Ortigas. In 4 hours and 49 minutes, the competitors covered a total distance of 164-km.
Following contestants were the top performers:
- Victor Dagaas: 110 kmpl
- Reymart Dumandan: 103 kmpl
- Marlon Aloba: 101.23 kmpl
Note that the top 10 riders from the leg will go on to compete in the final round of the event. The second leg of the event will take place on 28th April 2019 in Quezon Province.
