14th Inside Racing bike show postponed to July due to pandemic
MANILA: With the growing number of cases of Covid-19 victims in Metro Manila, more motor-related activities and events are postponed to later dates. Some are canceled as a precautionary measure against the potential spread of the notorious virus.
The most recent casualty is the 14th Inside Racing Bike Festival and Trade Show, regarded as the largest motorcycle event in the country. Inside Racing magazine, the event host, is the first scooter and motorcycle magazine in the Philippines.
Lots of freebies, sports, consumer discounts, and competitively priced motorcycle accessories and parts are available during the event.
According to the event organizers, they were doing their best to introduce safety and health initiatives. Yet because of the increasing number of Covid-19 cases in the Philippines, Inside Racing magazine declared postponement of the bike show. It was to be held at the World Trade Center in Pasay City on March 27 to 29.
Moreover, in line with the Code Red declaration of the Department of Health (DOH) and the government announcing a State of Public Health Emergency, the 14th Inside Racing Bike Festival has been rescheduled to July 17 to 19, 2020.
Inside Racing points out that they do not want to endanger the safety of everyone, because the event draws a large crowd from both exhibitors and the spectators. With their aim of giving everyone the best Inside Racing Bike Fest experience yearly, the safety and health of the attendees remain their top priority.
The announcement came one week after the withdrawal of four major motorcycle companies from the bike show. These companies include BMW, KTM, Suzuki, and Yamaha, and their immediate pullout was due to the pandemic.
