2018 Ducati Monster 821 revealed
MANILA: The mid-size Monster of the Italian manufacturer has received minute exterior and equipment updates for the 2018 version. Yes, the 2018 Ducati Monster 821 has been finally revealed and it is more aggressive than the outgoing model. The headlamp is inspired by Monster 1200 with an instrument cluster being upgraded to a colored one which now reflects the gear level and fuel indicator. Colored TFT instrument cluster is something that elder siblings like Multistrada 950 and SuperSport still lacks in their existing versions.
Accentuating the front profile is a sleek tail section and the 2018 version is offered with a new Ducati Yellow color scheme along with the existing Ducati Red and Matte Black. Powering the 2018 Ducati Monster 821 is an 821cc liquid-cooled testaretta L-Twin motor that has the potential of delivering a maximum power output of 110 PS at 9,250 rpm along with the peak torque of 86 Nm at 7,750 rpm.
The engine is further coupled to a six-speed transmission. In terms of safety, the 2018 Monster 821 packs Bosch ABS, Ducati Traction Control or DTC and Ducati Safety Pack. Just like the other models of the company, it is offered with three riding modes - Sport, Touring, and Urban. At the front, 43mm fork is equipped while the rear gets an adjustable shock. The braking duties of the bike are handled by dual 320mm front discs and Brembo M-4.32 calipers. The manufacturer is also offering the Ducati Quick Shift (Up/Down) and Ducati Multimedia System as accessories with the updated Monster 821.
