2018 Suzuki GSX150 launched at the GIIAS, Indonesia
MANILA: With the growing demand for newer and stylish bikes, the manufacture regularly introduces fresh models in the market. And the best way to launch these bikes is at the auto shows, where not only you get people crowding to get a glimpse of the new upcoming bikes, but also it gets a lot of media attention and hype. One such amazing auto show is the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) in Jakarta. Hence, Suzuki Indonesia decided to do the smart thing and launched the 2018 GSX150 Bandit at the GIIAS.
The 2018 Suzuki GSX150 Bandit is designed according to the specific needs of the daily riders. It comes with upright handlebars giving a more relaxed riding position. It also comes with a single-piece seat that is very comfortable. Suzuki has targeted this bike especially for the young professionals who can use it for daily work travel.
New Suzuki GSX150 Bandit comes with a single-cylinder, liquid-cooled 147.3 cc engine. Maximum power is claimed to be 18.9 hp and the peak torque is at 14 Nm. The robust engine is fueled by EFI and is mated to a six-speed gearbox. The console is a full LCD instrument panel and the bike has a tank capacity of 11-litre of fuel.
There is a slight difference between the new GSX150 Bandit and its sportier sibling, the GSX-S150. To accommodate the single-piece seat on the 2018 Suzuki GSX150, the sub-frame has been redesigned. Now the rider sits taller and comfortably at 790 mm. Braking duties are taken care by a single hydraulic disc front as well as the rear. For the suspension, 2018 Suzuki GSX150 uses a telescopic fork at the front and a monoshock at the rear. The total weight of the bike stands at 135 kg.
The new 2018 Suzuki GSX150 is available in Stronger Red, Metallic Matte Titanium Silver, Titanium Black, and Brilliant White / Aura Yellow. The booking opens in the third week of August 2018. There has been no official price set for the new GSX150 Bandit, according to spokespersons from Indonesian Suzuki distributor, PT SIS. There is no official confirmation yet, but we would really like to see this bike in the Philippines soon.
