2018 Vespa Primavera and Sprint 150 launched in Philippines

MANILA: The 2018 models of the Vespa Primavera and Sprint 150 ABS have been launched in the Philippines market. As a part of the launch event, these two models were displayed at the Bonifacio Global City dealership and was organised by MotoItalia, the local distributor of the company.

The Vespa Primavera has been a timeless scooter and has commanded class ever since its inception. The new 2018 version of the classic scooter rides on 12-inch wheels that improves a lot of things like the increased stability and handling, besides making it look a little taller.

On the other hand, the Vespa Sprint 150 is considered to the sportier two-wheeler out of the many models. Some of the most highlighting aesthetic aspects of the scooter are the attractive square headlamps, crafty seat design and various other styling features. Moreover, it now has the same 12-inch wheels from the Primavera 150.

Apart from these, there are certain other features that both the scooters have been given as standard, like the complete LED illumination all around, newly-designed necktie and the single-channel ABS. Other electronics, like the Bike Finder and remote-controlling seat unlock, are also given.

Both the scooters have a standard seat height of 790 mm. The front wheel in both models gets a 200 mm disc brake while the rear has 140 mm drums. Monoshock suspension is given on both the wheels where the rear has adjustable preload.

Under the hood, there is the same engine playing its part. The single-cylinder, 154.8 cc, air-cooled engine is compliant with the Euro 4 emission norms and can churn out a maximum power of 12.9 PS, which comes at 7,750 RPM along with a peak torque of 12.8 Nm, coming in at 6,500 RPM.

The Vespa Primavera is priced at Php 185,000 while the Sprint 150 gets a tag of Php 205,000.
