2019 Like, Xciting, and Noodoe Navigation now in the Philippines
MANILA: Kwang Yang Motor Company, shortly spelt as Kymco, recently launched products like Xciting 300i, Like 150i ABS, and more in the Philippines. The launch event took place in I’M Hotel in Makati City on November 28. Personalities like Mark Lin (Marketing Manager), Frank Yang (President of Kymco Philippines), Jacinto Cadugo (Vice General Manager in Sales and Marketing), and Manny Chang (Chairman of Kymco Philippines) were present at the event.
During the launch party, Frank Yang, the President of Kymco Philippines said, “These all-new Kymco motorcycles are yet another proof of Kymco’s renowned engineering leadership and legacy in manufacturing motorcycles. We are bringing in these new products as our latest entry in the AT segment and we are confident that our latest roster will meet, and even exceed, the expectations of our customers. We have carefully combined the best characteristics of a scooter to come up with a very competitively-priced motorcycles that has set new standards in this category”.
Housing a 299 cc single-cylinder engine is the 2019 Kymco Xciting 300i. The mid-size motor is capable of producing 29.8 PS of maximum power at 7,750 rpm and a peak torque of 30.1 Nm at 6,250 rpm. Bosch dual-channel ABS, LED lights, 12 V charger, multi-function digital instrument cluster make their way to the maxi scooter. Wheels on the Xciting 300i are a 14-inch alloy up front and a 13-inch alloy at the rear. Braking duties are assigned to a 260 mm disc and a 230 mm disc at the front and rear, respectively. Providing the rider with a plush riding experience are telescopic forks up front and dual rear shocks with adjustable preload at the rear end. With a seat height of 800 mm and a fuel tank capacity of 11 litres, the Kymco Xciting 300i is available for Php 239,900.
Second up is the 2019 Kymco Like 150i ABS. The retro-styled scooter is powered by a 150 cc single-cylinder motor. Power figures of this engine are 13.5 PS of maximum power at 9,000 rpm and 12.5 Nm of peak torque at 6,500 rpm. The scooter also comes with Bosch ABS, 12-inch wheels with 220 mm rotors at both front and rear, and a digital instrument console. Suspension duties are handled by telescopic forks up front and dual shock absorbers at the rear. By shelling out Php 98,900, you can take the scooter home in either Bright Red, Deep Blue Metallic, and Pearly White color options.
There is another Kymko Like 150i ABS that has been introduced, and it features Noodae tech. One can download the Kymco app from Google Play or Apple App Store and get connected with the scooter via Bluetooth. Noodoe Navigation maps have been packed in the digital instrument console with the Philippines routes. The facility will be timely updated with the help of the internet and will work offline as well. Furthermore, you can also select a photo using the mobile app which the scooter will display as a greeting every time you start it. The Kymo 150i ABS with Noodoe has been priced at Php 119,900.
