Arch’s new lineup showcased at EICMA 2017
MANILA: This year’s EICMA has been special for a number of manufacturers, one such name in the list is Arch Motorcycle Company that has come up with its new lineup. The new range includes KRGT-1, Arch 1s and Arch Method 143, all three being sports cruiser bikes. The bikes were introduced by the company’s co-founders Keanu Reeves and Gard Hollinger. All the three bikes are bestowed with premium equipment and will be manufactured at the company’s Los Angeles plant.
Till date, the company has produced more than 200 custom parts of billet aluminum that are being used on KRGT-1, which is the first production model of the company. The KRGT-1 is a performance cruiser that is sporty yet comfortable for longer distances. Powering this aggressive bike is a massive 2,032cc V-twin engine that is positioned between the steel frame of the bike. Each KRGT-1 will be equipped with Ohlins front fork and premium BST carbon-fibre wheels. The customers can choose between mid or forward-placement of foot controls.
Considering the Arch 1s, it can be stated that it is an advanced version of the KRGT-1 which is designed to offer more aggression. It is also developed by using CNC-machined aluminum and carbon fibre. Another difference is the single-sided swingarm, the engine being borrowed from KRGT-1.
The flagship model, the KRGT Arch Method 143 sits at the top of the line and will be limited to just 23 units. It is developed by using leather, carbon fibre, and aluminum. Powering the flagship model is a bigger engine unit, which is a 2,343cc V-twin motor. It is further equipped with single-sided swingarm which is covered with carbon-fibre. The Ohlins forks of the bike are covered with carbon-fibre airfoil and the exhaust pipes get a covering of either carbon or titanium. For now, the manufacturer is operating in the U.S. market only with plans to set up a distribution channel in the European market. The Asian debut might take time and the manufacturer has no plans for it in near future.
