Bristol Motorcycles enters the Philippines market
MANILA: A new motorcycle brand, Bristol makes its entry in the Philippines. The manufacturer has cleared their intention that it will produce retro-styled bikes which are good in quality and will carry competitive price tags. The company will target a large chunk of customers, starting from casual riders to the ones who are passionate for bike riding.
Bristol develops two-wheelers by collecting the parts from well-known and trustworthy international OEM automotive and motorcycle suppliers. The motorcycles get Italian Design, the Mikuni injection components taken from Japan, powertrain from Hartford Taiwan, while the electronics are sourced from Delphi Technologies USA.
The brand takes an aggressive stance to enter the market as they have launched two of their top-end motorcycles - the Bristol BR 400i cafe racer and the Bristol Classic 400i. Both the two-wheelers have been given two different trims.
Bristol BR 400i
The Bristol BR 400i comes with cafe racer styling but gets some modern aids too. It derives its required power from a 400cc, 4-stroke engine which can thrust out a maximum of 28 horsepower at 7,200 rpm along with a peak torque of 33 Nm at 5,600 rpm. There are telescopic fork at the front, while remote reservoir shocks are given at the rear. Single-disc brakes do the braking duties for both the wheels.
However, high-end trim 400i Ω trim comes with dual disc brakes at the front along with ABS, while the rear wheel gets single disc brakes and ABS.
Bristol Classic 400i
The Bristol Classic 400i, on the other hand, gets traditional styling which combines with a relaxed riding stance. All the other features of the Classic 400i are same as the BR 400i. Moreover, the vehicle also comes with a high-end trim as Classic 400i Ω that has dual disc brakes at the front and only a single disc at the rear with ABS for both.
Coming to the pricing, the Bristol BR 400i is priced at PHP 188,000, while the higher-spec model comes with a PHP 208,000 price tag. Moreover, even the Bristol Classic 400i gets the same price tag.
