Foodpanda, Coca-Cola Philippines partners up to provide free drinks to delivery riders

MANILA: For the Father’s Day season, Pandamart, Foodpanda’s grocery delivery arm, has partnered up with Coca-Cola Philippines to provide free refreshments to the company’s freelance delivery riders. 

The said initiative served as a wellness-oriented treat for “Ka-panDADs” who, according to Foodpanda, needed to be hydrated and energized while plying their respective delivery routes. 

For the first leg of the event, the company kicked it off at its warehouse in Pasig. As a response, the company’s delivery partners appreciated the gesture. As per Foodpanda, some riders expressed their gratitude by saying the simple treat has made a huge difference. 

“Talagang doble kayod kami para sa pamilya, kaya nakakatuwang may libreng drinks din kami para ma-refresh naman sa bawat biyahe. Nakakataba ng puso na naaalala rin pala yung hirap naming mga delivery partners sa daan,” veteran Foodpanda Rider Ferdinand Cruz said. 

Translation: We are really working hard for our families, so it brings us delight to have access to free drinks that will refresh us for our journeys. It warms the heart to know that our hard work as delivery partners is being remembered. 

As per Foodpanda Head of Category and Commercial Samantha Sy, the delivery riders working for the logistics company truly deserved the simple token for their hard work.

“This treat is not only for fathers but also those who serve as breadwinners of their family, working incredibly hard to provide for their needs. This is our way of saying thank you for their dedication and perseverance. We’re also grateful to our reliable partner, Coca-Cola Philippines, for offering their resources to make this happen,” Sy said. 

According to the company, the free drinks for partner riders initiative will be rolled out to other Pandamart warehouses across Metro Manila in the near future. Doing so will ensure the health and well-being of its delivery partners, Foodpanda shared.
