What did Foodpanda's SuperwoMom partners receive on Mother's Day?
On Mother's Day, Foodpanda's SuperwoMom partners received gifts from the brand's partners Silverworks and Motivo. They also got cash giveaways. What did Foodpanda's Mother's Day Quest allow its partners to enjoy?
According to Foodpanda, its Mother's Day Quests allowed its partners to enjoy additional income during the said occasion.“They say that being a mother is a tough job in itself, especially when you’re also a working mom. But these mom heroes are taking it a notch higher by taking on a job typically dominated by men — navigating busy streets and traffic to support their families as delivery partners. Their resilience and dedication make them truly exceptional, embodying the spirit of hard work and determination,” Foodpanda wrote in a press release.
Here are some of the stories shared by the Singaporean delivery service provider showcasing its Ka-Panda SuperwoMoms.
Mother, daughter tandem
Nina Heroda is a newcomer to Foodpanda. Her mom Purita, followed shortly after. The mother and daughter tandem works as Foodpanda’s freelance delivery partner bikers.
“Pinagsasabay ko ang pag-aasikaso sa mga anak ko at pagha-hanapbuhay. Kahit uuwing pagod, kakayod ulit kinabukasan. Go lang nang go (I take care of my children and work at the same time. Even if you go home tired, you will rise up again the next day. Just keep on going),” Heroda shared.
Her mother was also drawn to becoming a Ka-panda partner because of the opportunities it offered. Per Foodpanda, its delivery partner bikers — pretty much like motorcycle riders — have the chance to deliver orders while enjoying the flexibility in their hours.
“Ang kagandahan sa pagiging delivery partner ay nakakaya kong i-manage yung oras ko sa pagiging ina at pagiging Ka-panda. Ulirang ina sa umaga, tapos kukuha naman ako ng delivery session pagdating ng hapon (The beauty of being a delivery partner is that I can manage my time being a mother and being a Ka-panda. A model mother in the morning, then I’ll take delivery sessions in the afternoon),” she said.
Riding towards the future
On the other hand, single mother Jay Ann Martinez uses her e-scooter to deliver food and grocery orders. Per Foodpanda, the said setup gives her the freedom and independence to build a brighter future for her daughter, even as a single parent.
“Kapag minsan na masama pakiramdam ko, pwedeng hindi muna kumuha ng session. Pero kapag gumaling, balik agad. Bilang nanay, kailangan natin ma-provide yung mga kailangan ng mga anak natin kahit mahirap dahil wala tayong hindi kakayanin para sa pamilya (Sometimes when I feel under the weather, I opt not to take a session. But when I get better, I come back right away. As mothers, we must be able to provide what our children need even if it is difficult because there is nothing we cannot handle for the family),” Martinez explained.
Soldiering on foot
The Ka-panda delivery fleet’s inclusivity even extends its opportunities to walkers who fulfill orders on foot. This presents a unique chance for individuals who either don’t own vehicles or lack the know-how to operate one, such as Reena Dolores.
With the aim of helping her husband, she decided to become a Ka-panda partner.
“Sa kagustuhan ko tumulong sa asawa ko, pinapasok ko na rin ang pagiging delivery partner. Nagagampanan ko pa rin naman ang pagiging ina dahil minsan, maghahatid ako ng mga anak ko tapos magde-deliver (In my desire to help my husband, I also became a delivery partner. I still play the part of being a mother because sometimes, I will take my children to where they need to be and then accept delivery sessions),” Dolores noted.
A tribute to Ka-panda SuperwoMoms
Foodpanda treated the SuperwoMoms to gifts from its logistics brand partners Silverworks and Motivo. Cash giveaways were also handed over to the said partners.
They also had the opportunity to bond with their family members to celebrate the special occasion.
“It’s amazing how these women delivery partners show that they are just as capable as men in this line of work. We pay tribute to the amazing mothers in our delivery fleet because they represent the resilience and dedication we admire,” Foodpanda logistics Rider Experience Lead Ron Sanders stated.
In addition to rewarding the moms, Foodpanda also provided special Quests for its delivery fleet, allowing them to earn extra income by completing a series of orders on Mother’s Day. The company also gave away raffle entries allowing participants a chance to win one of the brand-new motorcycles.
“On Mother’s Day, we honored the exceptional contributions of Ka-panda moms and extend a warm invitation to aspiring mothers to become part of our Ka-panda community,” Sanders noted.
