MANILA: Following the announcement of its arrival in late 2022, Hero Motocorp has formally entered the ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) region through the Philippine motorcycle market

Currently, the brand has around 400 sales points locally and is expected to grow within the year.Present in more than 40 countries around the world across Asia, Africa, Europe, as well as South and Central America, the Indian motorcycle marque entered the Philippine market through Terrafirma Motors Corporation (TMC), which is under the Columbian Autocar Group.
Hero Motocorp is also the first two-wheel brand that TMC — led by Chairman Emeritus Palawan Rep. Jose Alvarez, and company president Felix Mabilog, Jr. — carried under its portfolio.
During its brand launch, the company unveiled the three initial models that will be sold in the country: the Xoom 110, Hunk 160R 4V, and XPulse 200 4V.
Here are the introductory prices of the Hero Motorcycle products — all packaged with a vehicle warranty coverage of 24,000 kilometers or two years (whichever comes first) and 36,000 kilometers or three years for the engine:
- Xoom 110: P69,900
- Hunk 160R 4V: P99,900
- XPulse 200 4V: P140,000
Relatedly TMC has put up an assembly unit and parts warehouse for Hero in Laguna. Per Mabilog, the more-than-6,000-square-meter facility has an annual capacity of 150,000 units.
Expected to grow further as the year progresses, Hero Motocorp already has around 400 sales points in the country that shall facilitate its retail operations in the country.
