Honda RS150R launched at 2017 Inside Racing Grand Prix
MANILA: At the recently held 2017 Inside Racing Grand Prix, Honda Philippines has introduced a new variant of its much-acclaimed Honda RS150. Yes, the racing-inspired RS150R has been finally launched in the local market. Apart from MotoGP-derived technology, the new variant of RS150 has aggressive styling.
The styling is inspired by the elder sibling, CB250RR, and CBR150R which gives this underbone an added edge in the segment. The standard features of the bike include LED headlights, signal lights, digital instrument panel, clip-on handlebars and full-chrome muffler. To give a complete control to the rider, RS150R is equipped with a twin-tube frame that results in improved agility with wide steering angle and a narrow handle width.
The overall dimensions of the bike measure 1941 mm X 699 mm X 977 mm (L X W X H) with a wheelbase of 1275 mm. The seat height of 764mm further improves the riding comfort of the rider in a significant manner. The suspension duties are handled by telescopic forks at the front and monoshock damper at the rear. The stopping duties are taken care by disc brakes at both the ends.
Powering the RS150R is a 150cc liquid-cooled DOHC single-cylinder engine that is capable of delivering a maximum power output of 15.6 PS at 9000 rpm and peak torque of 13.5 Nm at 6500 rpm. It is further coupled to a 6-speed constant mesh transmission. One of the highlighting features in the newly launched bike include Bank Angle Sensor that automatically switches off the engine before hitting the ground in a situation of an accident.
Honda Philippines has priced the all-new RS150R strategically and it is available at Php 97, 300.
