MANILA: Honda is doing great in the sustainable initiative so far and we are liking what the company is working on. The company recently tested its new sustainable initiatives and it had chosen Romblon as the site.
The Romelco (Romblon Electric Cooperative) has teamed up with Komaihaltec in order to develop the use of wind power in the province. A whopping Php 242 million has been allocated for this project. Interestingly, half of this amount has been donated by the Ministry of Environment of Japan.
Romblon Electric Cooperative will be putting up its first three wind turbines that are leased from Komaihaltec. Following this, another set will be up in 2020. The Co-operative’s vision is to successfully host 90% of the renewable energy by next year.
