For now, the Kawasaki Elektrode 20 is not available in the Philippines. What is the top speed of the Kawasaki Elektrode 20?
The Kawasaki Elektrode 20 is capable of reaching 39 kilometers per hour.Designed for children and teens ages eight and older, the Japanese brand touts the electric bike's relatively long run time of three hours. Thanks to its 750-watt in-wheel brushless electric motor, it can likewise reach a maximum speed of 39 kilometers per hour, though it has three “speed modes” to choose from.
Other notable features of the Elektrode 20 include premium disc brakes, a silent chainless drive, a telescopic front fork, and a pair of 20-inch spoked wheels. It also boasts a motocross-inspired mountain bike design, which Kawasaki says will greatly appeal to the younger demographic.
As per Kawasaki Director of Marketing Bob O’Brien, selling the all-new Elektrode 20 on its website will make it more accessible to more potential buyers.
“We are excited to launch the new Elektrode 20 on our enhanced e-commerce platform. By offering the Elektrode 20 for sale on Kawasaki.com, we can reach an even larger audience, expanding accessibility of our products while growing our customer base,” O’Brien said.
“It’s an exciting addition that will allow new riders to experience the thrill of owning a Kawasaki with a convenient purchasing process,” O’Brien added.
As of its introduction, the e-commerce section of the Kawasaki official website lists the Elektrode 20 with a starting price of 2,199 USD, (around P128,000). Similar in price is the Elektrode 20FS, which instead of a mountain bike design, comes with a BMX-style handlebar and a static fork.
Currently, the Kawasaki Elektrode 20 is only available for the US market. The brand cannot ship electric balance bike internationally, so Philippine-based buyers will have to wait for more updates from the brand. Hopefully, Kawasaki Motors Philippines Corporation will also consider adding the new electric bicycle to its lineup in the near future.
