Man arrested in QC after selling stolen motorcycle online
MANILA: A 20-year-old man was detained by members of the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) for selling a stolen motorcycle.

Nicolas Torre III said in a statement on Wednesday that BJ Vincent Escote was arrested by authorities on Tuesday night in Barangay Balingasa.
The victim, Claire Alcantara, reported the theft of her gray and orange Yamaha Mio MXi motorcycle from her home in Barangay Tandang Sora on November 6, 2022.
Alcantara discovered that her motorcycle was for sale on Facebook Marketplace on Tuesday, so she went to the Talipapa Police Station to ask for assistance, which led to the entrapment.
Alcantara posed as the buyer and met up with Escote in A. Bonifacio Avenue in Barangay Balingasa.
She was able to positively identify her stolen motorcycle ridden by Escote because of the motor vehicle file number and other distinctive markings.
The vehicle's registration document, which was in Alcantara's name, and a loaded improvised gun were also found by the police inside the motorcycle's compartment.
