Mio Aerox S launched in the Philippines, priced at Php 122,900
MANILA: Yamaha Motor Philippines (YMPH) has taken the covers off the new Mio Aerox S, a new member of the AT scooters family, at a grand launch event. The scooter is aimed at millennial Filipinos which the company refers to as ‘Mio-llenials’ as a part of their branding strategy.
The Mio Aerox S is similar to the regular Mio Aerox in terms of equipment, design, and performance. However, what’s exclusive on the new S version are features like Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), start/stop system and smart keyless ignition. The looks are sportier just like the Mio Aerox. It is available in two colors, including White and Matte Blue.
Ryan Jude Camus, the senior marketing manager of Yamaha Motor Philippines, assured everyone that the scooter’s battery life will not be affected by the Stop/Start system, courtesy of a fail-proof technology.
The engine generates power from the responsive, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected, 155cc engine supported by Blue Core Technology, which gives it an edge in the economy department over others in the segment. The engine produces a max power of 15 PS at 8,000 rpm and a peak torque of 13.8 Nm at 6,250 rpm that is mated to a centrifugal V-belt automatic transmission system.
The launch of Mio Aerox S was broadcasted live on social media hosted by the Filipino VJ, actor and a proud Aerox rider, Pinoy Vj Robi Domingo. Alfred ‘Buboy’ Lejano, the corporate administration director of YMPH said that the event was ‘Lit’. He also added, “Yamaha is the pioneer in innovation, and it is just apt that we do the first online launch of a product in the motorcycle industry.”
The event also saw Upeepz, the world hip hop dance champions and Matteo Guidicelli, who is the Yamaha endorser. Guidicelli praised the latest Mio family member for its everyday rideability and striking design. In the end, Robi and Matteo guided the audience on how they can purchase this stunning Yamaha scooter. There are only 155 units of the Mio Aerox S to be sold. Therefore, you got to be quick.
To get your hands on the new Mio Aerox S, priced at Php 122,900, you need to visit the site, https://buymioaerox-s.com.ph/ where you can make reservations. For payments, Yamaha will be organizing a special event at 10th Avenue Caloocan from Sep 29 to Sep 30. Remember, the payment mode is cash only.
