Skills Assessment and Development
Move It said before having the aspiring rider-partner onboard, a thorough skillset assessment is being done. Their vehicles are also inspected if they are roadworthy. Aside from that, they now have to undergo an annual mandatory retraining and vehicle inspection.
The motorcycle taxi platform has also forged collaborations with various organizations like the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority and Philippine National Police for capacity-building sessions that cover road safety, passenger handling, and vehicle maintenance.
Further, Move It has recently put up its first-ever Kaligtasan Center.
Located at the Move It-Grab Warehouse in Marikina, the company’s facility for skills development and assessment activities will soon have dedicated help desks for rider and passenger concerns — growing Move It’s multi-channel help centers and consumer assistance channels. More centers with the similar function shall be established within key areas this year.
The company also has Move It Academy — an online in-app learning platform that has safety-focused content. According to Move It, 150,000 safety courses have been completed by rider partners as of March 2024.
Leveraging on tech to ensure safe rides
With its strategic partnership with Grab, Move It boasts several in-app features for passengers and its rider-partners for an additional layer of safety.

Furthermore, customers can use the “Report and Issue” mechanism at the Activity Tab to file a report while the driver can rate passengers based on their conduct.
The firm also established “Ka-Move It Emergency Responders” who are trained to conduct basic first aid and situation assessment.
Passengers and riders are also encouraged to contact the 24/7 Move It Safety Hotline at 02-8883-7109 for any incidents encountered on the road.
