Stevie-awarded Shell Motorcycle Lanes to be rolled out to more stations

MANILA: As more Filipinos use personal and agile forms of transport like motorcycles during the pandemic, Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corporation has added more dedicated Shell Motorcycles Lanes in its mobility stations nationwide.

In a statement, Pilipinas Shell Vice President for Retail and General Manager for Mobility Randy Del Valle said, “At Shell, we ensure that everyone on the move will have the best experience when they visit Shell stations. The specialized Shell Motorcycle Lanes will address the mobility needs of the growing Filipino motorcycle community by being more inclusive in their services and offers. Bikers will no longer be sidelined by bigger vehicles at fuel lanes, which has been happening for years. Our motorcycle lanes have changed all that.”

Due to the outstanding service that it provides to a significant sector of the Philippine mobile market, the Shell Motorcycle Lanes were recognized in the 2021 Asia-Pacific Awards for Outstanding Innovation on Customer Service. The Stevie Awards is the world’s premier business awards, with the Asia-Pacific Stevies focusing on the achievements and positive contributions from 29 Asia-Pacific nations.

Shell launched the first motorcycle-exclusive fuel lanes in the country last year to improve customer experience and guarantee the safety of Filipino riders while they gas up. From five motorcycle lanes in 2020, Shell targets to put motorcycle-dedicated lanes in 100 stations this year.

To ensure the safety of the riders, Shell Motorcycle Lanes are equipped with wheel-stoppers that prevent larger vehicles from using the lanes. Prominent entry signs and floor decals are also installed on the lanes. Shell Motorcycle Lanes also provide exclusive services like free helmet and motorcycle seat cleaning.

Shell also continues to offer Shell Advance motorcycle oil and Shell V-Power fuel, which ensure optimum engine performance and smoother rides. Shell V-Power is the most preferred fuel by motorists and Shell’s original equipment manufacturer (OEM) partners which include Suzuki Motorcycles Philippines, TVS, Access Plus, and the Autohub Group that distributes Vespa, Triumph, and Piaggio.

“Shell V-Power is specially formulated with Dynaflex Technology which helps improve engine condition and maximizes energy from the fuel, making it the best performance fuel for motorcycles to date,” Shell V-Power Brand Manager Jerome David stated.

Meanwhile, Shell Advance is formulated with Shell Active Cleansing Technology that prevents particle build-up, allowing engines to have more power and control in any riding condition. Riders can choose among three Shell Advance Lubricant variants: Fuel Save, Long Ride, and Power.

Shell also recently launched the “Ride and Redeem” promo that gives riders the chance to get exclusive arm sleeves covers to protect them during their rides. Motorcycle riders can join by fueling up with Shell V-Power and purchasing Shell Advance. To learn more about the promo, log on to shell.com.ph/bikerenhancedprotection.
