Super Soco CUx Special Edition Ducati unveiled
MANILA: Super Soco, a Chinese brand that makes electric motorcycles like TS, TC, and TCmax, has come up with a special edition of its scooter, CUx. The Super Soco CUx Special Edition Ducati has been developed in conjunction with the Italian motorcycle giant, Ducati. This collaboration is a win-win situation for both the Italian and Chinese brand. While Super Soco will gain attention in the worldwide markets courtesy of the Ducati title, the Italian brand, on the other hand, is studying the pathway towards electrification.
Based in Shanghai, Super Soco Intelligent Technology is one of the fastest growing electric scooter manufacturers in China. The brand manufacturers its electric two-wheelers in Nanjing and then exports them to different Asian and European markets. Furthermore, Super Soco also works in conjunction with the Australian brand Vmoto, who helps Super Soco in marketing its vehicles in various markets.
On the Super Soco CUx Ducati Special Edition, not much has changed except the revised floorboard, branded graphics, and a matte black front fender. As a matter of fact, another Chinese giant, Xiaomi, also sells the CUx. A front-facing HD camera is an additional feature on Xiaomi’s CUx.
On the mechanical front, the Super Soco CUx gets its power from a 1,300 Watt Bosch hub motor that can take the CUx up to 75 kmph. The hub motor receives its juices from a 60 V, 32 Ah lithium-ion battery that can be charged in 7-8 hours via a standard three-pin charger. The brand claims that this lithium-ion battery can withstand 700 cycles during its lifespan. While an active theft prevention system takes care of the CUx, features like all-LED lighting, keyless starter, and LCD screen make the electric scooter a desirable product. At € 2,980 (~ Php 173,159), customer can take home the Super Soco CUx Ducati Special Edition till 31 December 2020.
