Suzuki PH, Angkas partnership lends new motorcycles to riders
Next batch will get to use 20 Avenis scooter units
MANILA: Suzuki Philippines (SPH) and Angkas have forged a strategic partnership, which allowed 15 riders to borrow motorcycle units from the Japanese brand.

The motorcycle models that were lent to Angkas riders by Suzuki Philippines were the Burgman Street 125 EX and the Smash.According to the Shizuoka-headquartered company’s local arm, the motorcycles were assigned to the said riders at the Angkas Tagumpay Center in Cainta, Rizal. The aforementioned included examples of the Burgman Street 125 EX and Smash.
SPH has touted both models as being able to provide a comfortable riding experience for the Angkas partners and their customers. Furthermore, the company said that the two rides are likewise known for being reliable and fuel-efficient, making them suitable for the rigors of the motorcycle taxi industry.
To note, the riders will be able to use the Burgman and Smash units for one month. For the next batch, meanwhile, a total of 20 riders will each get to use the Avenis scooter model.
“We are thrilled to partner with Angkas, a company that shares our commitment to improve the lives of Filipinos,” Field Marketing Group Head at Suzuki Philippines Johnny De Guzman said.
“By providing our reliable motorcycles to Angkas riders, we hope to contribute to their success and help them earn a better living,” De Guzman added.
Besides granting the Angkas riders reliable motorcycles, SPH shared that this partnership is expected to boost the local motorcycle industry. The riders who were given a chance to use the company’s scooter and underbone models also get added protection thanks to the aforementioned motorcycle’s array of safety features.
In response to the initiative, the selected riders expressed their gratitude for being able to use Suzuki’s lineup of two-wheelers.
“Sobrang nasisiyahan ako sa ginawa ng Suzuki para sa aming mga rider na hindi pa kayang bumili ng bagong unit ng motor sa panghanap-buhay sa araw-araw (I am really happy with what Suzuki did for us who cannot purchase a brand-new to use for our livelihoods),” Angkas veteran rider Manny Tayoto said.
