“With the launch of the GSX-8R and GSX-S1000GX, a new era for Big Bikes in the Philippines begins. An era where performance reigns supreme together with the rider as he becomes one with the machine, the company said.

    GSX-8R

The middleweight sportbike is 2,155 millimeters (mm) long; 770 mm wide, and 1,135 mm tall, with 1,465 mm wheelbase.

Engineered for speed and precision handling, the Suzuki GSX-8R ‘s design is inspired from the badge’s 35-year history. It boasts a sharp, clean profile of the front face and fairing that matches the rear section’s slim profile. Its mass-forward aggressive stance and well-balanced proportions reflects that it is designed to perform.

Powering the model is a 776-cubic centimeter (cc) parallel twin, four-stroke, two-cylinder, liquid-cooled double overhead cam (DOHC) engine mated to a six-speed constant mesh transmission.

Based on World Motorcycle Test Cycle (WMTC) standards, the motorcycle can do 23.8 kilometers per liter (kpl).

Other notable features include a full LCD instrument panel, LED headlamps and position light and disc brakes at the front and rear.

Available in Metallic Triton Blue and Metallic Matte Black, the Suzuki GSX-8R has a suggested retail price of P679,000.

    GSX-S1000GX

Created to offer a “grand crossover riding experience”, the Suzuki GSX-S1000GX blends sport, adventure, and touring.

Providing the stopping power are the disc brakes for the front and rear while absorbing the ruts on the road are the Suzuki Advanced Electronic Suspension system.

Using WMTC standards, the motorcycle can do 16.1 kpl.
