Suzuki PH showcases DR-Z4S, DR-Z4SM

MANILA: Suzuki Philippines Incorporated (SPH) has previewed the DR-Z4S and DR-Z4SM at the Makina Moto Expo 2025.

Per the Hamamatsu-headquartered marque’s local distributor, the upcoming offerings — which made their debut at EICMA (Esposizione Internazionale Ciclo Motociclo e Accessori) 2024 in Milan — are expected to further excite its followers in the country as they embody the “Ready for Play” look and performance.

They may look a little similar, but the two incoming Suzuki motorcycles possess totally different characteristics.

Here are some bits of information about the two models' specifications based on their specifications abroad.

For their looks, they both wear minimalist styling cues:

• Compact LED projector headlight behind the handlebar
• LED position lights that are integrated right into the turn signal assemblies
• Sharp lines and flush bodywork

To easily distinguish one from the other, the Suzuki DR-Z4S wears knobby tires, while the other runs on slicks. They also vary in size as seen in the table below:

Further, the Suzuki DR-Z4S and DR-Z4SM have full digital cluster gauge that shows real-time operating status information as well their on-board systems.

Both models carry 8.7-liter tanks that send fuel to their revised four-stroke, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, double overhead cam, 398-cubic-centimeter engines. The aforementioned mills are mated to five-speed constant mesh transmissions.

They also feature the Suzuki Intelligent Ride System (SIRS) that provides numerous electronic rider-assist functions such as:

• Suzuki Drive Mode Selector
• Suzuki Traction Control System with Gravel mode
• Ride-by-wire Electronic Throttle System
• Anti-lock braking system switch (with a choice between front and rear off or rear only off settings)
• Suzuki Easy Start System

Below are the models’ average fuel consumption (based on World Motorcycle Test Cycle):

• DR-Z4S: 28.4 kilometers per liter (kpl)
• DR-Z4SM: 29.4 kpl

SPH has yet to announce the pricing of the two models but clarified that they are planning to start to retail them within the latter part of the year.
