Suzuki PH to reveal new Smash trim

Suzuki Motorcycles Philippines is set to launch the latest variant of the Smash within the week.

KEY TAKEAWAYS

  • When will Suzuki Motorcycle Philippines reveal the Smash's new variant?

The motorcycle will be revealed on November 25.
  • What could Suzuki Smash's new variant possibly have?

The underbone's upcoming variant might get a fuel-injected engine.
  • Based on the announcement posted over its official social media page, the Japanese marque’s local distributor shall officially unveil the underbone offering's newest trim on November 25.

While the distributor has yet to share details about the motorcycle, the soon-to-be revealed trim might have updates in the powertrain department.

With this, Zigwheels Philippines is expecting that the new variant might be powered by a fuel-injected 113-cubic-centimeter engine.

Currently, the  air-cooled four-stroke, single overhead cam, single-cylinder, two-valve powertrain that still has a carburetor system can deliver 8.6 horsepower and nine Newton-meters of torque. The mill is paired to a four-speed automatic clutch transmission.

Further, the motorcycle’s new variant could still have a disc brake in the front. To note, the existing version has yet to update the drum brake system found at the back.

Since it will only be a new trim, customers may also anticipate that the new Suzuki Smash will have the dimensions — 1,930 millimeters (mm) long, 655mm wide, and 1,040mm tall with a 1,240mm wheelbase and 130mm ground clearance.

Currently, the Philippine-spec Suzuki Smash is offered in Candy Summer Red, new Titan Black, Pearl Bright Ivory, and Metallic Matte Fibroin Gray, as well as in two-tone options namely the Metallic Triton/Cool Silver and Candy Summer Red/new Titan Black. The prices of the existing Suzuki Smash 115 range from P62,400-P67,400.
