Triumph Street Triple RS Revealed In Asia
MANILA: At this year’s Bangkok International Motor Show, Triumph Motorcycles Thailand has introduced the all-new range-topping Street Triple RS. With this, the Street Triple RS has made its Asia pacific debut. The RS is the most agile version of the much-acclaimed Street Triple. It carries advanced features that make it stand apart from the S and R siblings.
Powering the Triumph Street Triple RS is a new, enlarged, liquid-cooled DOHC 765cc inline-three engine which is upgraded from the 675cc. The maximum power is rated at 123 PS at 11,700 rpm while the peak torque measures 77 Nm at 10,800 rpm. Despite a larger engine, the Street Triple RS is lighter from the previous generation model. Due to this, the upgraded bike is lighter, faster and more maneuverable.
The Street Triple RS is the most advanced offering from the manufacturer which is offered with an additional Track riding mode along with Sport, Road, Rain and Rider Programmable. It also features lap timer and Quick shifter on the instrument panel. Giving a road hugging experience to the rider are present Pirelli Diablo Superiors SP tires which are segment-exclusive.
The RS gets fully adjustable Ohline STX40 piggyback reservoir mono shock with 131 mm of travel and 41mm Showa Big Piston forks (BPF) with 115 mm of travel. Braking duties are handled by Twin 310mm discs with Brembo M50 4-piston calipers at the front and a 220mm disc and a Brembo single-piston caliper at the rear.
Let’s see how many speed enthusiasts adopt the new offering from Triumph.
